Coming Up!!! Seminar on Sierra Leone
The seminar is part of our 50th Independence Celebrations in the Netherlands and will focus on peacekeeping, accountability and prospects for economic development in Sierra Leone.
The seminar will present a brilliant analysis of the role and impact of regional and international peacekeeping operations in Sierra Leone. It is also an original contribution from the Global South to a debate too often dominated by voices of the West. An essential meeting point for anyone involved or interested in conflict resolutions and international development.
Date: Friday, 8 April 2011.

Organizers: Seminar is organized by the Vrije University Amsterdam in collaboration with the SLCU.

On behalf of the Sierra Leone Patriots Orgaization - Enschede,I would like to invite you to our First women Convention.
Why this theme? We want to help break personal limitations.By coming together, we believe to increasing our emotional, physical, spiritual, social or economic strength. Again, it is not giving people power, people already have plenty of power, in the wealth of their knowledge. Empowerment in this case is letting this power out enableing us gain the skills and more Knowledge that will allow us to overcome obstacles in life.
We don’t want to focus on critical issues of the Dutch language & cultural barries tending to weaken our efficiency and effectiveness in our immediate environment, if the other sisters has made it--- why not you? Yes, you can.
Now is the appointed time to do more and be more-- involving in the growth process and Changes that is never ending. Trust in yourself for you are specially made by God and do not let your past determine your future. Mama Salone need you.
By coming together, will help us share the ideas that will enable us to reach the people who are going to be providing the energy, the new initiative, the ideas and so we thought that, it would be very important for us to bring the next generation of leaders together.
Let pass a legacy that will serve instead of conterminating the coming generation.

Transparency Conference! SLCU Mini conference on Transparency, investment in Sierra Leone and the rule of law. Sierra Leone Central Union (SLCU) is a leading Sierra Leonean platform in the Netherlands. Our vision is to unite and promote peace, unity and co-operation among all registered Sierra Leonean organizations in the Netherlands.
Our mission is to support the integration of Sierra Leonean's in the Netherlands within the framework of the Dutch government policy and stimulate their active participation towards the development of Sierra Leone. We are organising an open conference on SLCU Transparency, investment in Sierra Leone and the rule of law. Date: 16th July in Leiden Time: 15.00 to 20.00 hours
